2012
Schedule
Traveler's Mind Writing Workshop: Granada,
Spain
May 27-June 6,
2012
The workshop runs ten days, from Sunday, May 27 through Wednesday, June 6. Students arrive on the 27th, and the workshop begins that evening with orientation.
Please
note: if you fly to Granada from Madrid, you should plan to be on Iberia #274, departing Madrid at 11:50am and arriving one hour later. If you come by bus, you should be on the 7am bus leaving from Madrid’s South Station. We will have our van meet both of these arrivals on Sunday, May 27 and bring you directly to Alhama. These schedules require that participants fly from the U.S. or Canada no later than May 25 (to catch the bus) or May 26 (for the flight). If you plan to come early to Madrid, we can recommend clean, safe economical hotels and great literature-related tourism.
When scheduling your departure, please note that the workshop ends at noon on Wednesday, June 6. For those who want to extend their trip to Spain beyond the workshop, we can also contribute suggestions for lodging in Barcelona.
U.S. and Canadian citizens traveling to Spain as tourists do not need a visa and can stay for up to 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond your arrival in Spain.
In April, we will send a more detailed schedule, including what to pack, along with contact numbers for Spain.
